Built my first hemi gasket with the new larger spline. I definitely think it makes a difference (It's my OCD I know...). New one is in front.

After I looked at the hemis on the skirt (and looking at other Daleks) I was a little unhappy with the size of the gasket around them. I am good with the process I figured out on how to build them, they were just too skinny. So I found some black spline on line sized .250 that seemed like a better fit size wise. The new spline is on the top and old one on the bottom. You may not see a difference, but I notice it.

Took some regular white primer paint and painted the first skirt panel to see how it adheres with the copper spray paint I bought. Need to let this dry

Stopped by the local home improvement store and picked up a few items. I was reading what some others were using and it seems like the spray in truck bed liner would make a more durable coating on the fender then the undercoating that I was using, so when I go to put a final coat of paint on that, I will use this. Plus I found a copper spray paint that looks like will match with the color of the actual Dalek. We'll see.

I needed to do a few touch ups on a couple of hemis that didn't get full gold coverage, but here's the gaggle of all my hemis right now. Many still need the backs attached, but that's another day.

After sanding down some patch work, you can see that I still need to make another patch pass before this front panel is ready to prime.

Not sure if this is just going to be temporary or not - but since I have been moving the skirt around for sanding and painting and drilling, inside and outside, and testing fits on the fender, I noticed that it needed a little extra bracing towards the bottom just so there wasn't a lot of flexing. So I cut some boards and added a bit of bracing for now. It's much studier when moving around.
